Here is a nice half-mile loop through wooded upland and marsh habitat on the south shore of Great Bay. The trail is very well designed and maintained, with a boardwalk to carry you over soggy terrain. The boat ramp at the end of Depot Road has a broad view of the bay.
Great Bay Discovery Center has educational exhibits and programs on Great Bay Estuary. It is open from May 1 to October 1, as well as weekends in October. Located at the end of Depot Road, off Route 33 in Stratham, NH. (603) 778-0015.
