“Join fellow explorers on an activity-based cruise from Portsmouth up the Piscataqua River into the Great Bay Estuary and to the Jackson Estuarine Laboratory.”
Great Bay Discovery Cruise cost is $30 per person. The cruises leave from the UNH Pier next to the U.S. Coast Guard Station at Fort Point in New Castle, NH. dock at 9:00 a.m. and return at 2:00 p.m. on scheduled cruise dates. There is a mandatory check-in and orientation at the grassy gathering place adjacent to the parking lot starting at 8:30 a.m. You should arrive by 8:15 a.m.

Isles of Shoals Discovery Cruises
“Spend the day on Appledore, one of the nine beautiful Isles of Shoals off the coasts of Maine and New Hampshire, and visit the Shoals Marine Lab.”
Cruises are $40 per person and depart from the UNH Pier next to the U.S. Coast Guard Station at Fort Point in New Castle, NH. Launch is at 9:30 a.m. and return at 4:00 p.m. on the following scheduled cruise dates:

“No reservations are needed; tours are on a first come, first served basis. No children under 42 inches tall are allowed to climb to the top, and adults are not allowed to carry children up the stairs. Visitors get to climb to the lantern room to enjoy the magnificent view and to see the fourth-order Fresnel lens up close.
“Volunteers will tell visitors about the history of the light station, and there will be souvenirs for sale. To climb the lighthouse, a donation of $2 for adults and $1 for children is suggested.
“There are 44 stairs to the watch room and a 7-rung ladder to the lantern room. Flat shoes (not sandals or flip-flops) are required to climb the ladder into the lantern room.”

"The theme of this year's show is 'The Beautiful Seacoast.'
"Seascapes, lighthouses, and other local scenes in original works by area artists and photographers will be featured. With framed and unframed works, there's sure to be something to please everyone.
"Last year's show included works by 60 artists in the Seacoast region. A percentage of all sales goes directly to the Friends of Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse for the care of the 1878 lighthouse in New Castle, NH."

“Come aboard the M/V Granite State for a five lighthouse cruise ...The boat will depart from Rye Harbor, on Route 1A in Rye, and will cruise close to Portsmouth Harbor Light, Whaleback Light, White Island Light, Boon Island Light and the Cape Neddick ‘Nubble’ Light. There is a snack bar onboard, and there will be raffles and narration about the history of the lighthouses.” Tickets are $35 for adults, $25 for children under 12.
